A small private north facing walled garden situated within a community garden with shrub borders and lawns, maintained by Gardening Thyme of Lymington. The previous owner Don Phillips was an expert gardener and seven years ago the garden was renovated keeping the same layout and using old railway sleepers to form raised beds. New and unusual plants have been added to give interest in leaf colour and texture all year round. Many are small varieties to fit happily within the limited growing space they have.

This small walled garden has been designed to be as easy to care for as possible. It faces west, catches the sun from mid-morning onwards and comprises a small lawn with a paved patio area and a recently constructed raised bed where cottage garden plants can be found. The area to the north is mainly of shingle with brick pathways. A south facing summerhouse completes the garden apart from the former air-raid shelter, which has been converted to provide a raised viewing platform and a grandstand view across the adjacent open space and cricket pitch.
